In magnetism, "soft" refers to magnetic materials with low coercivity, that is, alloys formed by crystallizing iron-based amorphous soft magnetic alloys. In this material, nano grains are fairly evenly dispersed in the whole amorphous (or amorphous) phase. This material is ferromagnetic at room temperature. Combined with nanocrystals, it realizes low saturation magnetostrictive constant, making it a very soft magnetic material.
Compared with traditional magnetic materials, this material has excellent characteristics and is mainly used in choke and transformer of power electronics. These excellent features allow for a significant reduction in the size of the components built with it.
